Arterial oscillography: New capabilities of the blood pressure monitor with the Oranta-AO Information system [Текст] : monograph / D. V. Vakulenko, L. O. Vakulenko. – New York : Nova Science Publishers, Inc., 2023. – 1100 p.

The monograph presents the scientific rationale, results of clinical trials, description of program implementation and practical recommendations for the new application of arterial oscillography (AOG) methods in medical practice. The use of the Oranta-AO Information system developed by the authors for the analysis of AOG recorded by an electronic tonometer makes it possible to significantly expand the information content of the blood pressure measurement procedure. For the first time, the authors managed to develop methods and algorithms for morphological, temporal, spectral, correlation analysis of AOG, based on artificial intelligence algorithms - to predict the risks of diseases and the value of blood and hemodynamics. In the absence of such studies, the information used in plethysmography, rheography and literature was adapted for morphological analysis; for temporal and spectral analysis, the methods and terminology used in the analysis of heart rate variability of the electrocardiogram were used. The results of theoretical, clinical studies and analysis of more than 4000 arterial oscillograms registered by the authors made it possible to develop methods for assessing the state of the cardiovascular and autonomic nervous systems, the level of regulation of their activity in the normal state, under the influence of various factors and in various pathological conditions. The monograph is intended for use in the following disciplines: basics of electrocardiography, physiology and pathological physiology, internal medicine, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, family medicine, medical informatics, cardiac rehabilitation, physical rehabilitation and sports medicine. It will also be useful for doctors working in the above-mentioned specialties.
