The thesis examines issues related to religion and religious tourism, problems of organization, prospects for the development of religious tourism, and the creation of a religious and cognitive tour within Ukraine. The first chapter discusses the essence and peculiarities of the concepts of religion, tourism, religious and pilgrimage tourism, and defines the main prerequisites for its development and the beginnings of its organization. The second chapter reveals the essence of the emergence and development of religious tourism in Ukraine. An analysis of the development of religious tourism within Ukraine is made, as well as the placement of religious resources and pilgrimage centers, statistical studies and the state of religious tourism in Ukraine are determined. The third chapter provides information on the problems that hinder the development of tourism and the current state of religious tourism in Ukraine, and summarizes the objects of religious tourism in Ukraine. In the appendices, passports of excursion objects are presented. Based on them, the excursion route "Religious Palette of Galicia" is formed, and a technological map of the excursion route is developed with recommendations for their practical use in excursion and tourist activities.
